Samajwadi Party Leaders Join BJP in Lucknow Ahead of Lok Sabha Polls

In a recent development ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, a group of Samajwadi Party leaders decided to switch sides and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Lucknow. This move took place during a public event where former Samajwadi Party MLA Jai Choubey, along with leaders like Balram Yadav and Jagat Jaiswal, officially joined the BJP, expressing their support for the party's vision under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak was present at the event to welcome the new members and stressed their significant responsibility in furthering the BJP's agenda.

During the gathering, Deputy CM Pathak expressed his gratitude towards the leaders who made the decision to align with the BJP, noting that the party has been successful in connecting with the masses under PM Modi's guidance. Pathak highlighted the BJP's commitment to enhancing and developing India ('Viksit Bharat') and encouraged the newly joined leaders to actively contribute towards this goal. This political shift comes at a crucial time as Uttar Pradesh, known for sending the highest number of MPs to Parliament, is in the process of voting in seven phases for the Lok Sabha elections, with the final count scheduled for June 4. The state has completed the polling in the first two phases, and the upcoming phases will continue until early June, with various constituencies taking part in this democratic exercise.
